Makeup

Someone got into my makeup bag and found my mascara. He wouldn't let me clean him up for the longest time because he said he looked "cool."

Will, Four Months Old

Date

Our first Mommy & Son date was a complete success. We went bowling. He even mentioned it the next day in his prayer during Primary.

Snow

After trying to prepare the kids for an English winter with no snow, we had a huge snow storm! The entire town practically shut down for 5 days. Anthony enjoyed working from home, since the trains were all thrown off schedule, the kids had almost the entire week off school, and they all loved playing in the snow again! Frosty stayed in our back yard for almost 2 weeks!

First Day of School!

Matthew now joins Andrew and Brooke 2 days a week at pre-school. He absolutely loves it! He runs in there with so much excitement, the teachers have to send him back out to give me a kiss good-bye.

Some of the best things they are learning at school? "Mom, did you know that here they don't say flashlight, they say torch?" "Mom, did you know that here they don't say clean-up, they say tidy-up." "Mom, did you know that here they don't say hair, they say heya?"

Winter Wonderland

We took the kids into London to see a winter ballet and go to the Hyde Park Christmas Market. We were proud of ourselves for going sans stroller, and got a little creative with baby carriers (Matthew asleep in the Beco in photo #2). Anthony got the star for the day by carrying three kids at a time (see photo #3: Will in the Bjorn on front, Brooke in the Beco on back, and Andrew in his arms. Very impressive.) This market was a little different than the ones we frequented in Switzerland and Germany because of all the rides. The Helter-Skelter was a bit much for our kids, but they loved a few of the smaller roller coasters and merry-go-rounds. But the favorite part of the whole excursion seemed to be the train and tube rides. They had no problem at all posing for photos, making friends with strangers and driving all the home-bound commuters crazy. It was a great London adventure.

Paris Aquarium

To cap off our trip we stopped at the aquarium. Matthew was the only one brave enough to touch a "Mr. Ray"

Merry Christmas!

Disneyland

We spent Christmas day at Disneyland ParisThe "Zurg" ride is still our favorite. Matthew rode it 5 times. Andrew and Brooke only 3 because they are now tall enough (with boots and hats) to get by the guards at Star Tours.

During the parade the kids even took a break from their candy to shout "thank you for my toys!" to SantaWe stayed until the park closed at 10:00pm, by which time we had four happy kids, asleep in the stroller.

Zug

Our old stomping grounds along the Zugersee.

Christmas

We got a small tree in Switzerland as well. Being too cheap to buy a tree stand just for the two weeks we were there, we improvised with a ski boot.

Santa found us just fine, despite our travels.

Skiing

Still not quite ready for the world cup. Brooke is still more interested in eating snow, and Andrew loves falling in the snow, which makes it challenging to get down a run.

Lounging

In addition to sledding, skiing, shopping, visiting friends, etc., we spent plenty of time lounging in PJs (or less). Many thanks to Talmadge and Jess for allowing us to stay at Chateau Price!

Christmas Market

One of our favorite Christmas traditions in Switzerland / Germany are the markets. At minus 8 degrees C we didn't last long, but still enjoyed it.

Sledding

Our favorite sledding hill on the Albis pass. The sledding alone made the trip to Switzerland worth the effort.

Smiling

Will, now 3 months old is fully capable of smiling.
