Anthony's mom arrived on the 6th for her first trip to Europe. We tried to take advantage and show her as much as we could:
Chapel Bridge, Mill Bridge, Lion Monument, street markets, train rides
Hellbrunn Palace, trick fountains and Sound of Music gazebo
11.06.08-12.06.08 Venice, Italy
Beach on Lido
Brooke's favorite activity: terrorizing pigeons
Venice at day
Venice at night (and raining)
Day two Venice
Day two Lido
13.06.08 Verona, Italy
Gladiators, Roman Amphitheater, Piazza Bra
13.06.08 Ascona, Switzerland
14.06.08 Valle Verzasca, Switzerland
Lavertezzo, Ponte “dei salti” (Bridge "of the leaps"), Rimarchevole (the church)
Finally, we stopped in Locarno for a picnic and playground break before heading home. As we walked back to the car, we noticed this orange Lamborghini and said, "Look, guys, a super fast race car!" They ran to get a closer look and laughed, "It's Lightning McQueen!" pointing to the little red hatchback parked right next to the real sports car.
It was such a wonderful vacation, and we loved being able to share it with Grandma Marlene. Thank you for making the long journey out to visit us Grandma!

your kiddos could be triplets--they are all the same size!
anthony sure gets a lot of vacation time--i need to get thomas to go negotiate for more!
You guys covered some ground! Looks like you saw a lot of great things! Cooper is all about chasing the piegons in San Marco square... but I realized you used the right term... terrorizing is more like it! :)
You will have no regrets by the time you go home. You guys have sure seen it all. I am jealous!
Such fun memories! Who makes your cute baby carrier? I like that you can wear it on your back too! Do tell...

Holy cow! Is she still alive? That's some amazing travel you got goin' on there. We'll be out there at the end of August, you'll be around right? Can't wait!
Those pictures are amazing! Looks like you guys had so much fun, I am jealous! Please tell me you have all your memories backed up on an external hard drive?!! You are going to have the coolest family photo album ever!!
I seriously cannot believe where you guys live! It's just amazing.
Hey, it's Barrett. So far I've been able to restrain myself from gushing over your fairy tale photos and how I wish we could be there...until I saw that little red 500. Please tell me it's yours and your bringing it back with you. If not, I'll set up a save "Luigi" fund for any late 50s Fiats you can find!
Wow, you guys did lots of fun stuff! Thanks for the ideas on places to go!
