Our 300 Euro Christmas Tree

We got a Christmas tree! We pulled out the adorable ornaments we spent WAY too much money on in Germany a few months ago (see Rothenburg trip), and in lieu of a star, donned our real cow bell (picked up at a flea market in Zurich this weekend). Then we boxed them all back up again as the new little "toys" proved to be too much of a temptation for our 2-yr-olds (stay tuned for photos of our cheap, unbreakable homemade ornaments).

The ornaments are beautiful--no wonder you put them away!

Okay. Which one of you is the professional photographer? Seriously, I need some lessons!

Those ornaments are so neat. Yes, homemade decorations are definitely the way to go. Very nice photos of the ornaments. What are your exciting plans for Christmas?

I LOVE wooden ornaments! We have the wooden ornaments from when I was a child that Santa would put on my very own tree (that would magically appear with colored lights and these special ornaments on Christmas morning in my bedroom!). But I am nervous about next year when Eli is big enough to shake the tree and break them! You're smart for putting them away for now... I'm excited to see what you made :)

Hi! Aunt Marlene listed your blog in her Christmas letter and I'm thoroughly enjoying going through your past posts. You are living our dream being in Europe! WE miss it and long to live there in the future. I'm glad you see you are enjoying every minute! I can't wait to see future posts. If you want to catch up on our family, my blog is misslissmelissa.blogspot.com.

P.S. Jessica (almost 3) is to the point where when I use the you-are-in-trouble-Mommy voice she just throws whichever ornament she took off of the tree AT the tree. I'm pretty sure we have a large pile of ornaments at the bottom of the tree by now! They just can't resist them, can they?
